PITZ – Tell us a bit about yourself.

Fireflow –

Hi my name is Fireflow, I have always enjoyed listening to music and studying it, so my interest was to start writing my own lyrics and creating my own tracks for people to listen to.

I am 21 years old from south Yorkshire so It would be a real achievement for me to be stated as the “best“ rap artist from Yorkshire.

PITZ – How would you describe your style of rap?

FireFlow –

My rap style is different to a lot of artists in the rap game from Yorkshire because of my ability to rap fast and keep in rhythm. I keep my delivery clear so that you can understand every syllable, whereas most artists who try to rap fast mumble their lyrics.

PITZ – What sparked your interest in creating music?

Fireflow –

My main inspiration in music is NF from the USA, and I enjoy watching his music videos and listening to the storytelling behind his lyrics. He is one of the reasons I enjoy rap so much, and eventually I would love to have the funds to be able to create cinematic videos like NF does.

But I have always enjoyed listening to music and I realised I could rap fast at a young age so I thought I would give it a try.

PITZ – How has your journey progressed and where do you see it taking you?

Fireflow –

My main difficulty with progressing musically is writing my lyrics because I get writers block quite easily. So I like to take time with my lyrics to perfect the craft, but I am slowly progressing with the writing aspect and I am finding a lot of inspirational things to write about.

With my music career I would love to take it the big stages and perform for fans who enjoy listening to me.

PITZ – You were recently part of a grime cypher in Birmingham. How did that go?

Fireflow –

The grime cypher in Birmingham was a big opportunity for me so I grabbed it with both hands.

A rap artist on TikTok reached out to me saying I will be contacted by a production team because they loved my rap style and wanted to give me the chance to be on a rap cypher. I loved every second of it, the production team were so professional, they funded the cypher for us so we recorded vocals then went on to record the music video with clips of us rapping in the booth to being in a room with the other artists rapping with each other.

It is a memory I will never forget, being able to rap on a track with artists such as, Sox, comprehend, STUTTZ, lady shocker, grhymz and lowk3y existence.

PITZ – Of all your creative works, which would you consider to be your favourite to date?

Fireflow –

Well I am still learning and working on writing lyrics so I don’t have many finished projects at the minute, although I will be making a lot of songs over the next few months.

That being said, my most creative work was definitely the cypher, the word play within the bars is immense.

Go check it out here so you can see what I mean with the wordplay.

PITZ – What have you struggled with the most in your creative work?

Fireflow –

The main thing I’ve always struggled with is writing lyrics and hooks. I have always struggled to write a catchy hook but with how much support I now have I will master that craft and be able to make bangers for the fans to listen to.

Another big struggle for me was performing on the cypher with the other artists and recording the music video. I felt so nervous trying not to make a mistake in front of everyone.

No artist is perfect.

PITZ – Where is the best place for people to find your music?

Fireflow –

The social media platforms I use are:

• Tiktok – Fireflow02

• Instagram – FireflowOfficial

• YouTube – Fireflow02

• Spotify – Fireflow

• Twitter – Fireflow02

PITZ – Is there anyone in particular that you are hoping to work with in the future?

Fireflow –

I know these suggestions probably wouldn’t come true but I’d love to work with Aitch, Clavish, Arrdee, Bugzy Malone, Central Cee, Dave and Songer.

The list goes on.

PITZ – What is your message to your fans and followers?

Fireflow –

My message to my fans is….

If you have a dream that you think is a good idea, take that dream, use it as inspiration and make that dream a reality, anything is possible. Look at me, Just a kid from Yorkshire making big moves.

I have gone from rapping professional artist’s songs to writing duets to TikTok’s open verses to creating my own tracks and performing on a cypher with some of the best UK rap artists.
