Interview with Pitz
PITZ – For those who might not know you yet, could you introduce yourself and share what drives you as a boxer?
Faheem –
I’m Faheem Mustakeem, a professional boxer out of Dewsbury, walking into every fight with an undefeated 5-0 record and a hunger that never fades. I’ve been in the ring since I was a kid, with 13 years of grind and sacrifice.
I turned pro at 19, chasing nothing but greatness. Boxing isn’t a hobby; it’s my life. I love the fight, the pain, the leather of the glove against my face. That’s where I come alive.
My team sharpens me. My family fuels me. Every day I wake up ready to take someone’s dream away before they take mine.

PITZ – “The Machine” is a powerful nickname — what does it represent for you personally?
Faheem –
They call me “The machine” for a reason. I don’t slow down, I don’t gas out, and I don’t back off.
I’ve got an engine that keeps pushing when others break. I throw punches in bunches, nonstop pressure from the first bell to the last, but I’m still dangerous on the outside.

PITZ – How has boxing shaped the way you think, not just the way you fight?
Faheem –
There will always be wins and losses in this sport, both inside and outside the ring. You’ll have injuries, bad days, good days, and moments that test you, whether you’re training or fighting. But at the end of the day, this sport is all about discipline and how badly you want it.
Without discipline, there’s no point in being in the game. Sometimes you might win in the ring but lose outside of it, in ways no one else sees through struggles with money, family, sparring, or training.
But that’s part of the journey. What matters most is moving forward, learning from every setback, and leaving the past behind while chasing what you’ve always dreamed of.

PITZ – You’ve faced tough moments outside the ring — how have they changed you as a person?
Faheem –
I’ve faced many challenges in life—things most people couldn’t imagine or fully understand. There have been times when everything felt like it was falling apart, but through it all, I’ve learned the importance of having the right people around you.
As a group and as a team, we’ve managed to make it work, even when the odds were stacked against us. I won’t go into detail because some struggles are better left unsaid; they shape you quietly, behind closed doors.
But one thing I will say is this: no matter how strong you think you are, you’ll always need the love and support of your family and your team to keep moving forward.
Without them, the journey becomes a lot harder. With them, even the toughest days become manageable.

PITZ – What kind of legacy do you want to leave as “Faheem The Machine”?
I don’t just want people to know Faheem the Machine, the boxer; I want them to know the man behind it. A loving guy with a heart of gold who will always make time for others.
Dewsbury, my home, my people; I want you behind me till the very end. We’re a small city, but we’re making big memories. In the ring, though, Faheem the Machine is a dangerous fighter. With the right moves, I’m coming for the top.
Remember the name.
